Natoaganeg - Community Engagement Session
Help shape our "Governance Bundle" and help guide how our Nation leads, makes decisions, and cares for our people and lands.
Time & Location
Jul 20, 2026, 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

About the event
A governance bundle brings together how our Nation leads, makes decisions, and cares for our people and lands. It includes our shared values, teachings, laws, and the roles of leaders and community members showing how everything is connected and works together. It helps explain who has a voice, how decisions are made, and how we hold each other accountable in a way that reflects who we are as Mi'gmaq.
For the Mi'gmag, our governance bundle helps make these ideas clear and easy to understand so everyone (Elders, youth, and all members) can see how they fit in. They create a shared understanding of how we move forward together and support our Nation's future.
These ideas will continue to grow and change as we listen and learn from one another. We are seeking input and feedback from our community members to help shape this work.
Your voice will:
Help define how governance looks in our Nation
Ensure our values, teachings, and traditions are reflected
Strengthen how decisions are made and how we move forward together
This is about more than structures or processes - it is about our relationships, our responsibilities to one another, and the future of our Nation.
