TREATY RELATIONSHIPS
We honour the Peace and Friendship Treaties and work to uphold the rights, responsibilities, and relationships they represent.
COLLABORATION
We build respectful relationships with communities, governments, industry, and partners while ensuring Mi'gmaq priorities remain at the centre of our work.
SELF-DETERMINATION
We support Mi'gmaq governance and the exercise of our inherent right to determine our own future as Mi'gmaq people.

We respect and value the knowledge, teachings, and lived experiences of Mi'gmaq Knowledge Holders, Elders, Youth and communities members.

MTI serves as the consultation body for the nine Mi'gmaq First Nations in New Brunswick, leading consultation efforts and ensuring Mi'gmaq rights, title, interests, and Indigenous Knowledge are appropriately considered in project reviews, regulatory processes, and government decision-making.

Mi'gmawe'l Tplu'taqnn Incorporated (MTI) works on behalf of the nine Mi'gmaq First Nations in New Brunswick to advance Mi'gmaq self-determination and uphold Aboriginal and Treaty Rights. Through stewardship, consultation, Indigenous Knowledge, governance, and advocacy, we support initiatives that protect Mi'gmaq interests throughout Mi'gma'gi while honouring our responsibilities to future generations.
