About the event
Join us to learn more about the Mi’gmaq Justice Initiative (MJI) and the services available to support Indigenous individuals, families, and communities.
During this session, you'll hear about:
Gladue Writing Program
Learn how Gladue Reports and Gladue Letters help ensure the courts understand the unique circumstances and lived experiences of Indigenous people during the sentencing process. Find out who is eligible, how the process works, and how to access this service.
Indigenous Court Worker (ICW) Program
Discover how Indigenous Court Workers provide support to Indigenous people navigating the justice system. From explaining court processes to connecting individuals with community resources and advocating for culturally appropriate supports, the ICW Program helps make the justice system more accessible.
Whether you're looking for support for yourself, a family member, or someone in your community, this session is an opportunity to ask questions, meet the MJI team, and learn how these services can help.
