Meet the team

The Trilateral team is the group that leads these discussions. The team uses a joint approach known as the ‘Rights. Implementation Approach’ developed by the Mi’gmaq to implement the Peace and Friendship Treaties based on implementing what already exists in the Treaties. The approach is based on implementing what already exists in the Treaties.

The Trilateral Team at Mi’gmawe’l Tplu’taqnn Incorporated (MTI) serves as a vital bridge between our organization, government entities, and various stakeholders. This team is dedicated to fostering meaningful collaborations and advancing the collective interests of our Mi’gmawe’l communities. By engaging in comprehensive dialogues and negotiations, the Trilateral Team ensures that our voices are heard and our rights are upheld in all spheres of development and policy-making.

Their work is instrumental in creating pathways for sustainable growth, preserving our cultural heritage, and advocating for the rights and needs of our people. Through their tireless efforts, MTI continues to build strong, respectful relationships that benefit our communities and future generations.
