Meet the team

The main goal of the Intergovernmental Affairs and Communications Department is to support and advance project and policy-specific files for the Mi’gmaq Nation in New Brunswick. This department is responsible for preparing speaking notes, letters, presentations, print material, media releases, talking points for our Chiefs and other members of the organization. We focus on improving materials to engage and communicate MTI’s efforts and initiatives to our community members.

At Mi’gmawe’l Tplu’taqnn Incorporated (MTI), our Intergovernmental Affairs and Communication team is dedicated to fostering strong, collaborative relationships between the Mi’gmaq Nation and various levels of government. We strive to ensure that the voices and interests of our communities are heard and respected in all policy discussions and decision-making processes. Our commitment extends to maintaining transparent and effective communication channels, providing regular updates on key initiatives, and advocating for the rights and well-being of the Mi’gmaq people. Through strategic engagement and proactive dialogue, we aim to create a harmonious and mutually beneficial relationship with our governmental partners, reflecting our dedication to the preservation of Mi’gmaq culture, values, and sovereignty.
